Shiraz from South Australia
This is a wonderful shiraz. It has all the flavors a shiraz should have: blackberry, pepper, spices, and more. It's smells like a rich cherry and spice dessert - without the sugar. It has a nice smooth finish and it easily enjoyed with a light dinner or a full blown Sunday meal.
This wine will go well with many things. Lamb would be a first choice. Try it with this rack of lamb recipe that it surprisingly easy. Another good option is beef - I would imagine a grilled filet would be perfect - especially if you coat the filet with lots of black pepper before you grill it. As for cheeses - I would suggest a nice firm sheeps milk cheese from italy (like a pecorino) with a cherry preserve served along side.
