Chenin Blac from South Africa
With all the fall fruits coming to a market near you, this wine is a great compliment to them. It's a nice light straw color with a great aroma of apples and some spices. The flavors are mild and fruity. It's a little dry and not nearly as sweet as it smells - which is a good thing.
I served this with some grilled sausages made with chicken and apples and some grilled pears. It was a great pairing. The fruit and sweetness complimented the aromas of the wine and the wine's dryness mellowed the sweet creamyness of the pears.
