On a recent visit to the Starfish Grille, I found it to be a bright friendly neighborhood restaurant. We were seated promptly by our hostess. The restaurant wasn’t busy, but we were on the late side for lunch at 1:30.
We found the menu to have very nice selections at very reasonable prices. My friend ordered the Greek shrimp appetizer and found them to be excellently prepared and flavorful. The serving size was adequate for someone who is looking for a light lunch. I tried the clam chowder, which was on special that day, and it had a nice consistency and plenty of crab in it. I asked our server for a recommendation of a menu item that wouldn’t be overwhelming in size. She suggested the shrimp salad. It was the perfect size for the rest of my lunch, with fresh shrimp salad, assorted greens, tomato slices and cucumber.
The location in the Merchants Village Shopping Center, affords plenty of parking and easy access from Folly Road. The restaurant was family friendly, and definitely a place I plan to try for dinner soon. Service was friendly, timely and competent.
