I recently was in Summerville at lunchtime and decided to try the Central Grille, just off of the town square in the historic Summerville area. This upscale, quiet restaurant was a very nice change from the hustle and bustle of some of the other areas of Summerville.
The menu for lunch had a nice mixture of soups, salads and sandwiches, along with some daily specials. I tried a very interesting salad with mixed greens and seafood that had just the right amount of vinegarrette dressing. It was served with a nice crusty bread. My companion had an oyster po boy that had just the right amount of oysters to accompany the hearty roll. The dessert selection was ample, and we shared a chocolate cake that was just right for satisfying our sweet tooth.
The service was attentive and competent. The décor was upscale. This is probably not a place to take the children for lunch or dinner. Good place for a business lunch. Currently the new parking garage which is under construction makes parking somewhat of a problem, but we found parking easily on Central Avenue.
