I recently visited Lana for lunch and had a very pleasant experience. Parking on Canon Street is normally available during the lunch hour which makes Lana an easy decision if you’re going downtown.
Lana has a varied Mediterranean type menu with a nice variety of sandwiches, Panini, salads and soups. Ask your server about the daily specials which are varied and offer some nice changes to the ordinary fare for lunch. With so many choices we had trouble making up our minds on what to order. I thoroughly enjoyed this risotto of the day, which was excellent with fresh asparagus and the perfect mix of cheese and mushrooms for the dish. I also enjoyed a nice shaved beet and goat cheese salad over mixed field greens with a vinaigrette dressing. The salad was the right size serving for lunch. My lunch partner had the calamari and found it to be done perfectly for her taste and was quite generous since she ordered from the Appetizer Menu. Service was very nice. Staff was attentive, informed and friendly. When asked questions on the menu, they gave an honest informed opinion.
Lana is a quiet, upscale lunch environment which is conducive to conversation. When I’ve been there it appeared to be a more adult clientele. Great place for a business lunch.
